What We Believe

About God

We believe there is One true God who is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. As Trinity, God eternally exist in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three distinct persons, yet One God.

About Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. Jesus being fully God and fully human; He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless human life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice dying for the sins of all mankind. In bodily form, He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven to prepare a place for believers and to intercede on their behalf.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make mankind aware of their need for Jesus. He persuades them to repent of their sins and to acknowledge Jesus as Lord. From the moment of salvation, He lives in every Christian; providing them with power, guidance, and spiritual gifts to live, grow, and serve in obedience to God.

About the Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s Words to us. It was written by human authors, under the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it is inspired by God, it is the final authority for Christian faith and living.

About Mankind:

We believe mankind was made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. But being tempted by Satan, mankind chose to sin and rebel against God. As a result, God’s image has been marred and all mankind has been born separated from God and in need of salvation.

About Salvation

We believe salvation is God’s free gift to mankind. It can never be attained by self-improvement and good works. Salvation must be accepted through personal repentance and faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross. When mankind turn from a self-governed life to faith in Jesus, their sins are forgiven, they are reborn by the Holy Spirit, and restored into fellowship with God.

About the Church

We believe the Church is the Family of God, the living Body of Christ on the earth. The Church fulfills the mission of God by celebrating His glory and goodness, growing in Christ-like character, caring for one another, communicating and demonstrating the gospel in the world.

About Eternity

We believe mankind was created to exist forever. They will either exist eternally separated from God by sin in hell or eternally with Him through forgiveness and salvation in Heaven. Jesus Christ will physically return to earth to establish His eternal kingdom. Those who have been reborn in Christ will live with Him forever. This is the blessed hope of the Church and its encouragement to endure in faith and service.

About Baptism

We believe in baptism by immersion, demonstrating our faith and obedience. This sacred practice illustrates our union and new life in Christ symbolizing His burial and resurrection.

About Communion

We believe Communion is the celebration and proclamation of Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross. As a community, we partake in this ordinance often to remember the New Covenant relationship we have with the Father and each other.

About Tithes and Offering

We believe tithes and offerings should be freely given by Christians to their local church. This is a holy act of worship. Christians are to honor and trust God with the first and best of all they have and all they are. They are to give of their time, finances, and gifts for sake of Christ and His mission.
