Building Leaders

We are now receiving applications for our Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Community Leadership Associate positions! This summer, we are excited to launch a special pilot experience that builds on the success of our SYEP by combining paid work experience, leadership development, and mentorship.

Our Community Leadership Associates will be local high school students who serve as mentors and leaders to junior high boys while continuing to grow themselves through mentorship from college students and other young adult leaders. During this six-week summer opportunity, participants will gain valuable work experience, strengthen leadership skills, explore career pathways, build financial literacy, develop life skills, and make meaningful service contributions in the community.

Through collaborative work, real conversations, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, we aim to help our young people grow professionally, emotionally, socially, spiritually—and have fun while doing it. At the conclusion of the program, we want each student to feel empowered by their experience, confident in their leadership, and ready to showcase their new skills and talents.
